This traditional Tibetan 108 bead mala is hand strung with naga shell beads, green howlite spacers, and a vintage style Tibetan brass marker bead inlaid with pieces of turquoise and coral. It features a set of mala counters and is finished with a bodhi seed guru bead and gold-plated dorje charm from Taiwan.
The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet. It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.
Mala measures approximately 36 inches around. Beads are 8mm. Tibetan bead and guru bead are about 15mm. Made in Nepal.
